I've been snapping photos every day, literally day in and day out, for the last 6-7 months. If you're anything like me, you like things done right—from color schemes on Instagram to outfit formulas (i.e. my OOTD below), to beautiful scenes in the city—it all has to fall into place.
Whether I'm practicing shots at home or doing live shots from somebody's living room or bedroom; I have to feel good about how I represent myself in my business. My appearance will always reflect who I am and how I feel, at that moment; it's what makes me a "put together" woman.
Allow me to clarify...
When I say "put together", I don't necessarily mean fancy, expensive, name brand clothes and accessories—and while that's ok sometimes—you have to always look your best, even when you're sporting a naked face, dirty hair, jeans, and white converse.
THE TRICK TO LOOKING "PUT TOGETHER" ISN'T IN THE OUTFIT, IT'S THE DETAIL.
A fedora, a neck bandana, bangle bracelets. A vintage tee. Layered necklaces. Even sweet scented perfume. Some of the little things you can incorporate in your daily wear to maximize your look, yet simplify who you are.
As career-oriented women, we may not always have the luxury, the desire or the need to dress it up, but we should always look put together.
