It's been a great season; from Halloween to Thanksgiving to Christmas and New Years. And I'll be the first to tell you, I overcompensated this year.
So as twenty-seventeen comes to a close I'm journaling my way into 2018 with a new self-challenge.
Well, I overindulged during the holidays.
I'm a sucker for good eats and each year, around Halloween, I begin a treacherous path of eating unhealthy.
I get it, healthy eating is a way of life. You don't have to preach to me! I have a closet filled with unused clothes that screams my name daily.
But as the new year approaches, I'm walking into it with no regrets. I relished every bit of scrumptious goodness I ate and baked; but now I'm ready.
I'm getting back into my groove—the one that has me feeling pretty, healthy and thin. I'm kick starting 2018 with mind, body and soul.
A good friend once told me: "Your body can do almost anything, it's your mind you have to convince." And here lately that's exactly what I've had to do. I've had to convince my lazy side to get up and move. I've become stagnant in the holiday spirit, and while that is good in moderation, December is now coming to an end.
"You don't have to be extreme." I said to myself this morning.
