MAMA'S TOFFEE-LICIOUS OATMEAL COOKIES

As a mom, one of my many missions in life is to always have my kitchen stocked with every single ingredient it takes to make a delicious cookie, a decadent cake, a scrumptious pie, or any dessert imaginable.

Yesterday, my kids and I raided the panty for ingredients that created the most delicious chocolate chip, walnut, oatmeal cookies.

The end result, heavenly.

Here's what you'll need: 1 stick of butter (room temp), 2 eggs, 1/4 tsp. cinnamon, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1-1/2 cups sugar, 2-1/2 cups brown sugar, 2 cups all-purpose flour, 2 cups old fashioned oats, 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips, 1/2 cup milk chocolate toffee chunks, 1 cup chopped walnuts, 2 tablespoons water (gradually add more, if needed, until you get a good consistency).

Here's how you do it: Preheat oven to 350°. Combine first 7 ingredients in a mixer. Add all remaining ingredients. Combine until well blended. Spoon dough onto cookie sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.

Being a mother is one of my greatest joys. And as a mom, I relish what I do for my children, and with them. What do you do for your children? What traditions do you show them?
