What better way to enjoy a weekend than with a simple, foolproof chocolate chip cookie recipe. This is my all-time favorite.
Here's what you'll need:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 egg yolk
1 cup semisweet or milk chocolate chips
1/2 cup marshmallows
1 tsp coconut oil
Here's how you'll do it:
Preheat oven to 325°
Combine flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.
In a medium bowl, cream together melted butter, brown sugar and white sugar.
Add vanilla, egg, and egg yolk until light and creamy.
Pour in the flour, baking soda and salt combo until blended. Add 1/2 cup chocolate chips. Chill dough in refrigerator, at least 30 minutes.
In a double-broiler stir in the other 1/2 cup of chocolate chips, marshmallows and coconut oil on low heat until melted. Drop 2" balls onto a greased cookie sheet.
Swirl the tops of each cookie with chocolate chip mix.
Bake 15-17 minutes
