Not indefinitely because we did dinner instead. Nonetheless I was home—dressed, with no place to go earlier—for a few hours anyway.
I actually didn't mind. I caught up on my favorite fall shows on Hulu. Not sure if you have Apple TV but I get so lost in it.
I watched this week's episodes of Last Man, Modern Family, Designated Survivor, Notorious and Lethal Weapon. All in one swoop.
I LOVE IT
But soon thereafter I got to listening to a podcast by Gary Vaynerchuk. Who, by the way, is ridiculously (BUSINESS) inspirational.
Everything he talked about made absolute sense. I empathized and understood. And more than anything, I was inspired.
This past year has been a crazy-odd one for me but through it all I learned this:
I can only make time for people and relationships, I know are right for me. It’s hard to let go of those we love, but sometimes it’s the best thing we can do for ourselves. Not everything is supposed to become something beautiful and long-lasting. Sometimes people come into your life to show you what is right and what is wrong, to show you who you can be, to teach you to love yourself, to make you feel better for a little while. But not everyone is going to stay forever, and we still have to keep on going and thank them for what they’ve given us.
So to those who have taught me life lessons—good or bad—I hope your eyes find you here, reading this. Thank you for my growth.
No regrets, just life.
