I was the second child of four—and first daughter—to a mom who loved dressing me up in cute little dresses, black patent shoes, white ruffled socks and curly pigtails. I mean, c'mon, which mom doesn't love playing dress-up with her baby girl(s)?
I remember vividly, as if it were yesterday.
Sometimes memories fade; never to be remembered. While others remain intact; never forgotten.
And whether or not my mom's style [and influence] impacted me into the woman I am today, I'll never really know. Although I'd venture to say yes, what I do know is that I embrace what has become of my personal style and I use that influence that was embedded in me many moons ago.
Of course, times have changed.
Today's style is much more extravagant and daring. But that's not to say you can't have fun with it; or that trends don't return.
What's in your closet? What's your style? And who influenced you as you grew older?
