Behind my serious face is a silly, funny, playful side of me; really there is.
THAT'S WHAT KEEPS ME YOUNG.
And I love that!
It's not about looking young, or acting young; it's about feeling young—young at heart.
And as I grow older, my essence remains the same: poetry heals me, art redeems me, literature transforms me; and meditation, well, it's the key that binds it all together.
Allows me to write and express myself; I need that in my life.
Gives me the aspiration to be creative; I can stare at a canvas or a blank sheet of paper and be anything I want, in that moment.
Gets me lost in a hardcover filled with black and white pages. Sometimes, reading is where I find peace.
When I find myself mentally exhausted with everyday life, I sit alone for a minute or two and I think, I pray, I meditate. It quiets my busy mind.
You may think it's crazy, but making a habit of freeing your days from every day noise—in time—brings you patience and peace.
We all have that inner peace, find yours.
I promise it will show in your attitude and your behavior. People will notice a different you. Your family will notice. Your children will notice. Your co-workers will notice. YOU will notice. Find your peace.
