As I get older, I see it.
I see it on my face, my behavior, my body. The aging process slowly creeping in, doing its thing, as it was intended; and no amount of time or money can reverse that.
As women, we hate it. We fight it. We body cream it. And for those who can afford it, inhale every surgical procedure imaginable.
And yet, we still get old.
Do whatever makes you happy. But my wish for you is that you never hold back because of a number.
Don’t change your journey so it matches someone else’s. You weren't intended to look like other people. We walk different paths; revel in the differences and encourage the indifferences.
Enjoy where you are, in this moment in time. No matter the age. No matter the time. No matter the wrinkle.
Maybe! But what if you stopped caring so much about what other people think? Is their opinion of you relevant?
What if you realized, the woman in you is only intimidating to those who aren't there yet?
What if you stopped apologizing for things that don't matter?
What if you looked in the mirror and loved yourself for every battle wound you have fought, and won?
It's not hard to make "what if" decisions, once you know your worth and your values.
This year has already lost a month.
What if the rest of 2018, you simply devoted more time to loving [you]?
