As I get older, I see it. I see it in my face, my behavior, my body.
The aging process slowly begins to do its thing and no amount of time can reverse that.
As women, we fight it. We inject it, we body cream it, and for those who can afford it, inhale every surgical procedure imaginable. And yet, we still get old.
Do whatever makes you happy. But I hope you never hold yourself back because of a number.
And never rush into things because it feels like time is slipping by. I hope you do what is right for you.
HOLD ON. SLOW DOWN. BREATHE IN.
Your age is just your age. But more importantly, your life is your life, and a very short one it is.
Don’t change your journey so it matches someone else’s. We walk different paths; revel in the differences.
Enjoy where you are, in this moment in time. Because tomorrow isn’t promised to any of us and today is when we celebrate.
But what if you stopped caring so much about what other people think? Is their opinion of you even relevant? What if you realized, the wild woman in you is only intimidating to those who aren't there yet? What if you stopped apologizing for things that don't matter? What if you looked in the mirror and loved yourself for every battle wound you have fought, and won, in life?
It's not hard to make decisions once you know your worth and what your values are. This year is almost three-quarters of the way complete. What if the rest of 2017, you simply devoted more time to loving yourself more?
